Copy + design — they go together like peanut butter and jelly.

As a copywriter, I know this, but I also know that when you’re an entrepreneur running a small business it can be hard to spend the cash on both a copywriter and designer, especially in the early days.

If you allow your copy and design to work together you will see BETTER CONVERSIONS EVERY TIME!

My friend Melanie at Baked in Code invited to do a Q+A with her on the importance of design and copy working together on your website. Melanie works specifically with restaurants, but this advice is good for any type of business. At the end of the day, the ultimate goal of any website is to drive action. That may mean opting into your email list to get a discount, making a reservation, buying a product, or scheduling a call.

In this blog post, I go into my thought process around design and copy for small and large brands including how I use copy to resonate with visitors to turn a restaurant’s website into the 24/7 hostess with the mostess.

Enjoy!
